Metallic Cluster Screen Electric Field Well

Test performed by the de Heer group show that metallic clusters containing 200 atoms or less screen electric field much better than some theories would predict. The conclusion is reach that such small clusters have properties of good metals. The results have been accepted to Physical Review Letters (January 5th, 2011).
